DeMarcus Ware is an American retired football player and Super Bowl 50 champion. He played outside linebacker/defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos. He wore the #94 jersey and his accolades include 9x Pro Bowl, 4x First-team All-Pro, and 2x NFL sack leader. DeMarcus Omar Ware was born on July 31, 1982, in Auburn, Alabama. His parents Brenda Ann Ware and Otis Pitts separated when he was a child. He has one sister, Jakeithia. Ware attended Ogletree Elementary School followed by Auburn High School. He graduated from Troy University with a degree in business information systems.

CAREER
Ware began his athletic career at Auburn High School. He was competitive in football, basketball, track, and baseball. Ware played linebacker and wide receiver, earning MVP honors for both. He recorded 7 sacks and 55 tackles his senior year. In track, he had standout performances in the long jump, high jump, and the 55-meter sprint. Ware continued his football career with the Troy Trojans, playing defensive end. He was the 2003 Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, and a 2x Ali-Sun Belt selection. His college stats include 201 tackles, 27.5 sacks, and 10 forced fumbles. Ware was a finalist for the Hendricks Award for the top defensive end. He was inducted into the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.

Ware was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 11th overall pick in the 2005 NFL draft. His first NFL game was a 28-24 win over the San Diego Chargers. Ware played 9 seasons with the Cowboys (2005-13) and 3 seasons with the Denver Broncos (2014-16). He helped the Broncos to the Super Bowl 50 title against the Carolina Panthers.
